Blushie Slushie! Not too sweet, not too sour, quite CHERRY actually! A pleasant surprise for this gin-beer drinker! A perfect marriage for me.
Lots of IPA beer selections with some sours. Way to go. No high ABV here, yet.
Friendly staff. Airy brick and wooden decor. Beer machinery behind the bar. -

Overall a good place for food and craft beer. Nicely remodeled industrial building with high quality details and finishes. Service was very efficient and professional.
I sat at the bar and had a couple of IPAs which were both good. I'd have to say though, the highlight was the pork chop. It was cooked perfectly, well-seasoned and accompanied by a nice vegetable medley. -

I really like this place! If I were only comparing this to other East Crossroads breweries, I would give 5 stars. It's definitely my favorite new brewery I've been to. The space is casual and inviting with a lot of exposed brick and wood elements.
My husband and I went on a whim for an early dinner on Saturday evening. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted. However, it did take quite a while for the bartender to acknowledge us again, refill our drinks, and provide us with dinner menus, upon our request. But, once we were taken care of, all was well.
One thing I really like about this place is that they offer cocktails. Many breweries only offer beer, so there's truly something for everyone here. I started with a Stone Fruit Old Fashioned. It tasted great, but the pour was a little stingy for the $13 price tag. My favorite beer was the Favorite Hoodie. Very drinkable and light.
For food, we started with a half order of Fancy AF Loaded Fries. For those like me who don't love loaded fries, you need these in your life. The fries were double-fried and stayed crispy underneath the cheese sauce, which consisted of fontina and goat cheese. Seriously, good AF! For entrees, I ordered the Fried Chicken Bahn Mi and my husband had the Fish and Chips. The flavors in the bahn mi were excellent, but I would have preferred a crustier bread. The bread that was served was too airy than what I'm used to having with a bahn mi. The fish and chips were excellent! The light tempura batter was perfect!
Bottom line, we will be back soon. The fun atmosphere combined with diverse food and drink menus make this spot truly one of the better new restaurants in Kansas City. -

This great place is tucked away in the Crossroads. I work down there and literally had no idea!
But it is a gem!
Pretty spacious space with friendly staff.
The food menu was smaller, which actually was ok with me because I didn't have a hard time choosing...except that I did because everything looked good! Ultimately I got the burger, cooked medium rare. It was cooked really well and was a good burger. Not amazing, but good.
The drink menu was bigger! I got the Radler beer/cocktail and really enjoyed it!
There is a ton of seating for groups of 4-6. There was taller tables towards the back. There was the actual bar you could sit at and also what seemed like a rooftop patio? I didn't actually go up.
Anyway, I'll be back. -

This place is fantastic!! The craft beer is amazing! All of them we tried were very good. City Barrel has great food too. The Executive Chef paid a visit to our table to check on us and was very nice. We had the chips and dip appetizer which was very fun, tasty and creative.
I had the Asian style pork chop. Delicious!! The potatoes and squash accompanying it were fabulous! My wife had the steak frites which was also lovely. Cooked to perfection!! The dirt and worms dessert was shared by the 6 of us and was super creative and delicious! I hope to get back to this place.
